    Practising Law Institute (“PLI”), an innovative leader in legal education programs and services, is searching for a technology professional to fill the role of Lead Software Engineer.  This position requires a bachelor’s degree along with strong programming and leadership skills.  PLI’s client base includes a large array of prestigious law firms, corporations and government agencies.

    The Lead Software Engineer is an expert programmer who will be directly responsible for software development activities using various programming languages, related tools and frameworks. This role will mentor, monitor and guide software engineers in ensuring adherence to software development practices, policies, and standards.




    • Design, implement, support and maintain software applications and services.
    • Collaborate with the agile team in requirement gathering; define user stories, solution design and testing.
    • Assist Architects in defining and enforcing software development policies and standards.
    • Lead/mentor software engineers and external consultants across design review, code review and quality review throughout the SDLC.
    • Work with the DevOp engineers to ensure the success of the CI/CD processes and continuous delivery of the applications.
    • Ensure software engineers consistently meet deadlines related to work assignments.
    • Other duties, as assigned.




    Responsible for supervising a team of 2-3 software engineers.





    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System or equivalent is required.
    • Minimum 7 years of experiences in software development using varies languages, tools, and frameworks is preferred.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in technical leadership required.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience following Agile Methodology.
    • Proficient in C#; at least 5 years of hands on experience.
    • Strong knowledge of SQL, knowledge of non-relational DBMS such as MongoDB is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of SOA, web services, XML and JSON technologies.
    • Good knowledge in mobile (responsive design) and mobile app development (native or Xamarin).
