Grow your career as a cross-functional resource in the areas of business analysis, project management, quality assurance and application support.   For more than 80 years, PLI has served the legal community with innovative products and quality programming, building a sterling reputation spanning the country.   Your responsibilities as IT Business Analyst: - Business Analysis - Analyze and evaluate the needs of stakeholders, and accordingly, any products, services, systems, processes, or workflows affected by those needs. - Scope, elicit, analyze and document business requirements for both new and existing applications. The Business Analyst will conduct requirements-gathering, impact analysis and document user stories, use cases, business rules, functional requirements, and others as needed. - Help shape product roadmaps that will be crucial in the transforming and accelerating of business results. - Drive the development pipeline by performing business analysis, developing user stories, documenting As-Is and To-Be processes/workflows, managing UAT and supporting feature releases and training. - Help overseeing management of Salesforce data, fields and processes to ensure system integrity. - Evaluate and draw conclusions from data related to customer behavior. - Drive the resolution of issues identified during the analysis, design and testing phases. - Scrum Management  - Manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow-through on all assigned features to ensure they are ready for release within the allotted sprint. - Application Support  - Investigate, analyze and prioritize activities to support IT maintenance and enhancement efforts. - Support DevOps  - Coordinate closely with DevOps team to support continuous delivery. - Quality Assurance  - Conduct quality assurance with Behavior Driven Development (“BDD”) approach to validate working/viable software. Perform regression tests and participate in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). - Other duties as assigned. Qualified Candidates will have: - 5+ years IT/IS business analysis experience. Experience in the professional accreditation or legal industry a plus. - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is required. - Experience with gathering and documenting requirements. Ability to create Use Cases, User Stories and Business Process Models. - Must demonstrate superior analytical ability with logic, reasoning, and attention to detail. Ability to investigate and analyze data with appropriate tools. - Proficient mastery of databases, SQL, HTML, XML, Jira and Confluence is necessary. - Good knowledge of website development processes and technologies. - Experience with Salesforce (administrative and/or development background) is required. Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform. - Work experience in an agile development environment is required. Candidate must have the know-how to execute a project using agile methodologies, software, and tools. - Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with business and IT teams. - Strong communication skills, both written and oral. - Proactive, self-motived, highly organized, curious, and creative. - Experience with developing test plans/scripts. - Knowledge of reporting with Business Intelligence tools, Google Analytics, and Mongo database is a plus. Requests may result in data loading, reports, dashboards, workflow updates or other Tier 1 needs. - Understand business needs and translate them into written functional user requirements - Implement new enhancements including the creation of custom fields or objects, process automation, and/or data mapping. - Support the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of integrated applications connected to SF.com. - Develop methods to monitor Salesforce.com data after each release to ensure that the anticipated processes are working as expected and coordinate across teams if issues are identified. - Develop and deliver training materials for new users and new features, enhancements, or changes to the system. - Identify opportunities for redesign, development, and enhancement of current processes; make recommendations for process improvements and work with the members of the team working on Salesforce.com development to establish a delivery plan. - Other duties, as assigned. Qualified candidates will have: - Bachelor’s degree required. - Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption. - Ability to understand complex requirements and assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com including all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes. - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and presentations skills. - 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator on Sales or Service Cloud - Salesforce Administrator certification is a plus. - Strong understanding of the Salesforce.com platform best practices and functionality with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity. - Experience with Salesforce data management tools including Data Loader and Data Import Wizard - Proven experience working with large amounts of data required. - Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests. - Experience working with a subscription and/or membership business model is preferred. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are a must. - A driven, self-motivated professional who is willing and able to take on additional responsibility. Practising Law Institute (“PLI”), an innovative leader in legal education programs and services, is searching for a technology professional to fill the role of Software Engineer. This position requires previous experience working in an agile environment along with the ability to build and maintain software applications that will support PLI business initiatives. PLI’s client base includes a large array of prestigious law firms, corporations and government agencies.    The Software Engineer will support design and implementation activities for web, desktop and mobile applications. In addition, the Engineer will support integration with software-as-a-service applications and all layers of the application such as front-end, database and back-end.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Collaborate with agile team to gather requirements, refine user stories and create solutions. - Deliver both functional and non-functional requirements; drive and execute user stories through completion. - Perform hands on design and implementation using the appropriate programming languages and development tools/framework/platform. - Develop and maintain unit and integration tests. - Work with DevOps to ensure the continuous delivery of software via the CI/CD process. - Other duties, as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, or particularly impressive experience of shorter duration. - Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and common practices (code reviews, SCRUM, etc.) is required. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. - Development experience using C# and MVC is a must. - Experience with relational (e.g. MS SQL) or non-relational (e.g. MongoDB, REDIS) datastores. - Experience writing unit and integration tests using frameworks. - Understanding of course code version control (GIT) and CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins) processes. - Keeps up to date with market trends and other changes in technology.
