Join PLI and represent the legal community’s premier provider of continuing education and research services as an on-call Conference and Facilities Coordinator in our San Francisco office. Work in a collaborative environment supporting the conference and facilities needs on the day of a PLI program and grow your career as a customer service professional. This position has a variable schedule, and the Coordinator will have the ability to sign up for work shifts based on the monthly programs schedule.   PLI serves lawyers and other professionals with innovative programs and publications. With a sterling reputation developed over 80+ years, PLI is a trusted resource for the legal community and known for its dedication to providing pro bono training and resources to ensure access to justice.   Your responsibilities as Conference & Facilities Coordinator (On-Call) - On the day of a program, work with outside food caterer in the mornings and afternoons. Set up and replenish food, beverages, and water pitchers for participant lounge, faculty green room, and speaker dais. Monitors these needs throughout the program day. - Work with caterer to set up faculty lunch, including setting out water and utensils. In the afternoon, dispose of leftover food, and run dishes through the commercial dishwasher in the conference center kitchen. - Light food preparation for breakfast and snacks throughout the day, replenishing items as needed. - Maintain kitchen supplies and inventories, which may involve lifting, up to 55 pounds. - Check CO2 levels for sparkling water system and change tank, as necessary. - Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, including but not limited to coffee pots, ice machine, and work areas. - Monitors and maintains cleanliness of lounge area, meeting room, and faculty green room throughout the day of the program. This involves lifting of equipment (such as coffee pots and food platters) and chairs. - Wipes down chairs, tables, floors, and iPads at the end of the program day. Straightens chair and table placement in lounge area. Helpdesk administration including training other help desk technicians, assigning, resolving and following up on service tickets.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   - Performs system administration activities related to VMware servers, Windows servers, Active Directory, print server, corporate workstations, laptops and mobile devices. - Troubleshoot and support end-user network operations, including VPN, office network, and office WIFI. - Troubleshoot and support MS Exchange online, MS Office 365 applications, Internet communication, endpoint securities and backup. - Maintains network and system operating system updates with appropriate patches, and service packs as necessary. - Helpdesk administration, including training other Helpdesk technicians, assign, resolve, and follow up with service tickets. - Troubleshoot and administration of VoIP phone systems and call center. - Documenting Helpdesk and Policies and procedures. - Participating in annual IT, and security audit. - Identify areas for improvement with regards to Help Desk workflows/processes and work with the Senior Manager, Help Desk and Director, Network Operations to strategize and implement improvements. - Ensure customer service is timely and accurately on daily basis. - Set specific customer service standards. - Follow up with customers to identify areas of improvement. - Provide regular reports on help desk team productivity. - Provide customer feedback to internal teams, including Product Management and Software Engineering. - Other duties, as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS   - Bachelor’s degree, equivalent technical college degree, or sufficient years of industry experience - Minimum of 3 years in network administration. Maintains an ongoing understanding of PLI users, the PLI business, internal technology, and mobile products under development while following Agile methodologies. - Final determination of requirements and “go or no-go” determination around mobile releases resides with the MAPO, who will work in collaboration with business analysts, subject matter experts, engineers, and others throughout the business to translate the roadmap into well-defined features and approved user stories that balance requirements, user needs, technology realities and business constraints. - Work with UI/UX resources to guide the development of interface standards and ensure that features are delivered in conjunction with wireframes and design specifications. - Support project management protocol by coordinating communication between development teams and internal stakeholders to address goals and project timelines. - Assist with development of and attention to budgets provide project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends, including tracking of revenue through allocated usage of the online app over time as well as the growth in adoption and usage. - Keeps current with advances in technology including current state-of-the-art capabilities of mobile apps and project management strategies by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks and shares knowledge with team. - Works closely with marketing and design teams to plan and develop mobile friendly content, including push notifications, style, and layout with attention to business goals and budget while ensuring that content is tailored to meet SEO needs and maintains ADA compliance. - Provides training to membership, customer service and marketing teams. - Demo product iterations to the rest of the company, including to both technical and non-technical teams. - Work with and manage outside vendors, as appropriate. - Other duties, as assigned.
